DISCLAIMER: This experience isn't yet live and much of the details/designs is confidential. The images will seem generic, but the described process is true to form!

phase one

Discover

As a previous effort, we learned that it was both becoming industry standard and desired by our users to offer a credit card "application" experience that would allow them to check if they were approved for the card they wanted and not impact their credit during the process.

phase two

Define

We identified key moments throughout the application process that would be the most effective for educating users on this new experience, altered the content and designs, and conducted user research to confirm if our hypotheses (This is an experience users want and it will, therefore, not negatively impact application completion) were sound enough to build around.

phase three

Develop

The research confirmed that users did in fact demand this experience, our content and design tweaks had sufficiently set user expectations, and in the event that a user isn't approved for their desired card, suggesting other cards grew their trust in us. We took these findings and reinforced them into our designs.

phase four

Deliver

After synthesizing the research and updating designs, it was time to share out. The partners were thrilled with the results and immediately got to work to implement this project into the tech backlog. The experience isn't yet live, but background work is being done to ensure the holistic site experience accommodate soft pull in the meantime.
